Multi-diverse cultural rally taken out from Tangla HS playground to Tangla town

TANGLA: As a part of the four-day event for the silver jubilee celebration of Bohagi Bidaai Utsav by Tangla Yuva Mancha, on Sunday a multi-diverse cultural procession reflecting various communities was taken out from the Tangla HS playground throughout Tangla town of the Udalguri district.

Two elephants led the rally amidst a multitude of people lined up along the way. The rally was inagurated by Nityananda Sahariah and was participated by YouTuber Dimpu Baruah, among others. Cultural troupes of Goriya Muslims, Rabha, Adivasi, Bodo, Sarania-Kachari, Gorkha, and Bengali communities, besides Bihu Xanmilanis literally portrayed the greater Assamese society.

Significantly, people of the town came out in unison irrespective of their class, caste, community and religion and participated in the rally. In the evening, Ritrisha Sarmah enthralled the audience with her melodious rendition.
