NABARD organizes bookkeeping training for SHG members in Gaurisagar

GAURISAGAR: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Sivasagar district organized a day-long bookkeeping training for SHG members and leaders on Saturday in association with ASRLM, BMMU, GAURISAGAR at Gaurisagar Block Development conference hall.

In the programme, LakheswarMahanta, DDM, NABARD, Sivasagar and Charaideo districts, Sanjib Borah, BDO, Gaurisagar Developmental Block, SangeetaHatibaruah, Branch Manager, AGV Bank, Joysagar Branch, among others were present. Addressing the SHG members, DDM NABARD LakheswarMahanta urged upon them to work dedicatedly for the personal development as well as development of the society. The training programme was inaugurated by Sanjib Borah, BDO, Gaurisagar. TribeniGogoi, DFE (F), ASRLM, Sivasagar imparted training to the SHG members on maintaining cash books, proceeding books, ledgers and others books for financial discipline.

The banks provided a total of Rs 49 lakhs loan sanction letters to 17 SHGs under Gaurisagar Development Block for various production activities.

UCO Bank, Dikhowmukh branch gave Rs.30 lakh to 6 SHGs, Assam Gramin Vikash (AGV) Bank, Joysagar Branch gave Rs.13 lakh to 8 SHGs and Punjab National Bank, Jhanji Branch gave Rs. 6 lakh to 3 SHGs.
