NABARD organizes workshop on entrepreneurship development

In order to widen the outreach of entrepreneurship in Assam and with a view to tap the latent potential of the rural youths to the cause of enterprise development

GUWAHATI: In order to widen the outreach of entrepreneurship in Assam and with a view to tap the latent potential of the rural youths to the cause of enterprise development, NABARD Assam Regional Office organized a workshop on Entrepreneurship Development in coordination with Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Ltd (ASIDC) on Monday.

The programme attended by over 50 participants/social opinion makers from various districts across the State was formally inaugurated by Naveen Dhingra, CGM, NABARD Assam Regional Office.

Addressing the participants, Naveen Dhingra, CGM, NABARD said that the interface was one of its kind and that he wished that the participants would help spread the message of entrepreneurship as the most suitable and sustainable model for ensuring long-term social economic development in the State. He also highlighted initiatives of NABARD in fostering rural development in general and entrepreneurship development in particular by drawing attention of the participants towards responsibilities for overall holistic development of the State by creating a congenial ecosystem for entrepreneurship development.

During the day-long workshop, sessions on various dimensions of Entrepreneurship, based on case studies of successful entrepreneurs from the state, facilities and enabling provisions from ASRLM, ASIDC, MSME as well as NABARD were handled by resource persons, stated a press release.
