Nagaon girl selected for internship at Texas A&M University

Shikhadry Mahanta, B Tech in Diary technology from the National Diary Research Institute, Karnal, and daughter of Jagannath Mahanta and Dipali Mahanta of Fauzdaripatty Srawani Satra, Nagaon has been selected by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University for her internship under a programme called Agriculture and Natural Resources policy.

NAGAON: Shikhadry Mahanta, B Tech in Diary technology from the National Diary Research Institute, Karnal, and daughter of Jagannath Mahanta and Dipali Mahanta of Fauzdaripatty Srawani Satra, Nagaon has been selected by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University for her internship under a programme called Agriculture and Natural Resources policy.

She will be representing her university at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations during her internship. Shikhadry Mahanta has researched on reducing post-harvest waste of cereals using plasma technology which is an advanced engineering technology being applied in the field of agriculture, after completing the bachelor’s degree from Texas A & M University, college station, Texas in 2020.

Earlier, she also went for internship to Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana as well as at Future Group, Mumbai. During her PhD course, she worked with US Wheat Marketing Centre at Portland, Oregon under US Wheat Association.
