JAGIROAD: The Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM), Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) Hospital at Jagiroad was formally inaugurated for treatment of COVID patients on Sunday. While inaugurating the NPM, HPC Hospital for COVID treatment, State Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that doctors and other paramedical staff, who were associated with the hospital, could work under NHM if they desired. He also asserted that if required, the hospital would be converted into a 50-70 bedded COVID hospital and for that 20 doctors and 30/35 nurses and other staff would be required. He was accompanied by minister and local MLA Pijush Hazarika, Morigaon MLA Ramakanta Deuri and Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora.
