Nagaon SP Anand Mishra Urges Parents to Give 'Sanskar' to Children

SP Mishra also revealed that the investigating police found the three accused children watched porn as evident from their browsing history.

GUWAHATI: Nagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) and senior IPS officer Anand Mishra appealed to the parents and guardians to pay proper guidance to their minor sons and daughters before giving them mobile phones.

Speaking to the media over the matter of three male children killing a 7-year old girl for refusing to watch porn on mobile phone in Kaliabor, Nagaon.

The SP said that some parents give mobile phones to lull their sons and daughters. He called upon such parents to remain alert and cautious when they do that. He also urged the parents and guardians to teach about culture (sanskar) to their progeny from their early years.

"The parents should teach their sons to give respect to female bodies," he further said.

SP Anand Mishra also revealed that the investigating police found the three accused children watched porn as evident from their browsing history.

"When we have searched their mobile phone browsing history, we have found that they watched lots of porn. Even, they started watching porn again after getting released from the police custody," he add. He called it a dangerous trend.

The three children who killed the girl are aged between 8-11 years old.

Meanwhile, the parent who has been arrested had refused to co-operate with the police despite knowing about the crime. The four accused was arrested by a team of Nagaon Police led by Superintendent of Nagaon Police Anand Mishra and officer-in-charge of Kaliabor Police Station Rajib Baruah.

This news was informed by Nagaon Police on their official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Unfortunate murder of 6 yr old girl at Missa, Kaliabor solved within 24 Hrs. 3 Juveniles, 1 adult were arrested. Accused aged between 8 and 11 are porn addicts capable of conspiracy and gruesome execution of a dastardly crime. Seems it's time for introspection and Social Intervention."
