Narcotic Tablets Seized, 1 Held By Tamulpur Police in Baksa District

Tamulpur police raided the Indo-Bhutan border in Baksa district on Tuesday night and seized 203 narcotics tablets from a pharmacy and arrested one person named Ishahaq Ali of Sashipur village in Baksa district.

BAKSA: Tamulpur police raided the Indo-Bhutan border in Baksa district on Tuesday night and seized 203 narcotics tablets from a pharmacy and arrested one person named Ishahaq Ali of Sashipur village in Baksa district.

Following secret information, officer in-charge of Tamulpur police station, Inspector Dwipen Kalita and in-charge of Darangamela police station, Derchung Narzary on Tuesday evening launched the anti-drugs operation at Sashipur village under Darangamela police outpost along the Indo-Bhutan border in Baksa.

Police also arrested owner of the pharmacy, Isahaq Ali. Police seized the tablets and are continuing investigation. A case has been registered against Ishahaq Ali at Tamulpur police station. Isahaq was produced before the judicial court at Mushalpur of Baksa district head quarter on Wednesday and remanded to police custody for two days.
