Tezpur: Narsing Pawar officially took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur district on Monday. He was earlier serving as the Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Urban Development, Guwahati Development Departments and Managing Director, AMRUT. PN Sambhaji took charge from outgoing Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Deka who has been transferred and posted as Director of Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati. Manoj Kumar Deka joined as Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur on September 5, 2016. Earlier, the officials and staff of the Deputy Commissioner’s office gave a formal farewell to outgoing DC Manoj Kumar Deka on Saturday evening.
