National conference at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: A two-day national conference on Advances in Sustainable Chemistry and Material Science-2022 (ASCMS-2022) was organized by the Department of Chemistry at Bodoland University, Kokrajhar on the 29th and 30th of April. This is the first-ever national conference organized by the department in the offline mode. The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Laishram Ladusingh, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Bodoland University. Manjil Basumatary, academic registrar, Bodoland University and chairperson of the conference had delivered the welcome address. Arup Kumar Dey, Honourable Executive Member, Health and Family Welfare, Bodoland Territorial Council was present as Chief Guest at this inaugural function. During these two days of the conference, a number of eminent speakers, delegates, guests, and students from different parts of the country participated and shared their knowledge and views about the recent advances in the fields of chemical and material sciences. A total of 59 papers were presented during the conference.

This conference received financial support from BTC-Government, IOCL (Bongaigaon Refinery), NTPC Bongaigaon, Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, Oil India Limited, DST-SERB, and many others. Professor Sanjay Basumatary, Dr. Dhrubajyoti Haloi and Dr. Hemaprobha Saikia were the conveners of this conference.
