GOLAGHAT: A national webinar titled 'Pandemic in English Literature' was organized recently by the Department of English and IQAC, Don Bosco College, Golaghat in collaboration with St. Philomena's College (Autonomous), Mysore.

The webinar included two sessions and the resource person for the first session was Dr. Mridul Bordoloi, Associate Professor, Department of English, Dibrugarh University. He gave a lecture on 'Representation of Pandemic in English Fiction'. The resource person for the second session was Dr. A. John Siluvai, Head of the Department of PG Studies and Research Centre, St. Philomena's College, Mysore. His area of discourse was 'The Poetic Perception of the Pandemic COVID-19'. The welcome address was given by the Principal of the college, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jose Palely. The moderator of the webinar was Bhaskar Gohain, Assistant Professor, Department of English.

A total of 934 participants registered for the webinar which included 313 academicians, 97 research scholars, 465 students and 59 other attendees. The webinar also attracted participants from Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
