NCPCR organized convention on child rights in Haflong

A one-day convention on child rights was organized by (NCPCR) in collaboration with the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council at District Library Auditorium, Haflong

HAFLONG: A one-day convention on child rights was organized by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council at District Library Auditorium, Haflong on Monday. The programme was attended by Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa as a chief guest along with EMs of DHAC Nepolal Hojai, Devojit Bathari, Projith Hojai, Bijit Langthasa, Namrothang Hmar, Ramgalungbe Jeme and MAC Fleming Rupsi. The programme began with the lighting of lamp by the chief guest, followed by welcome speech which was delivered by DHAC secretary Debanon Daulagupu.

Later, a keynote was addressed by Rupali Benarjee, NCPRC Member Secretary. She said that the Constitution of India being the guiding light in governing the nation, guarantees equal rights to all its citizens.

In the programme addressing the gathering, CEM Debolal Gorlosa also spoke a few important words about the current situation on Child Rights in reference to the Dima Hasao district. He said that we should take efforts to protect children from a young age, so that they don’t get addicted to any narcotic, drugs and alcohol.

Others present during the programme were, Principal Secretary Thai Tsho Daulagupu, ACS and Secretary DHAC Debanon Daulagupu and other dignitaries. There were also teachers and students in the programme.
