TANGLA: In an effort to provide a platform to the fraternity of young artists, writers, photographers and orators under the mentorship of experts, the Udalguri chapter of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) and MRSD NGO organized a district-level Yuva Utsav here in the Udalguri College auditorium in the Udalguri district recently with events such as poetry writing contest, painting contest, mobile photography contest, declamation contest, cultural presentations, and a 'Yuva Samvaad'. The event witnessed participation of more than 150 youths in the age group of 15-29 years where Udalguri Assistant Commissioner Bhaskarjyoti Barman, president of Red Cross Society Udalguri, Dalim Bayan; motivational speaker, Sunil Basumatary;
Axam Xahitya Xabha State Executive, Akhil Kalita; Chairman of MRSD NGO, Milan Das attended the programme and interacted with the students during the Yuva Samvaad. Certificates along with prizes were given to the winners of all the competitive events. The winners will participate in the State-level Yuva Utsav, NYK Udalguri Accountant Biswajit Das asserted at the inaugural ceremony.
