Nehru Yuva Kendra Kamrup organized Fit India Freedom Run

Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kamrup organized the ‘Fit India Freedom Run’ on Saturday to mark the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a series of events organized to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence.

RANGIA: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kamrup organized the 'Fit India Freedom Run' on Saturday to mark the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', a series of events organized to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Bhabesh Kalita flagged off the Fit India Freedom Run as the chief guest. The run was started from the statue of Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika, situated in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup, to Ganesh Mandir of Agiyathuri, a distance of around 8 km. Kalita paid homage to the freedom fighters of India because of whom the country is celebrating the proud moment of 75 years of India's Independence as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. He expressed hope that this run would inspire everyone to serve the country with a spirit of patriotism and encourage them to become healthy by making yoga a lifestyle. More than 175 youths participated in the run.
