New APCU Biswanath district committee formed at Sahitya Sabha Bhavan

The Biswanath district committee of Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU) was reformed in a meeting held at the Sahitya Sabha Bhavan, Biswanath Chariali on Sunday.

JAMUGURIHAT: The Biswanath district committee of Assam Press Correspondents' Union (APCU) was reformed in a meeting held at the Sahitya Sabha Bhavan, Biswanath Chariali on Sunday.

In the beginning of the meeting, one-minute silence was observed in memory of Suresh Borthakur, a veteran journalist of Biswanath Chariali. Hemanta Saikia, chief secretary of APCU and senior journalist, graced the meeting as an observer. Pranita Roy Bhuyan, president of Biswanath APCU, was in the chair while Tushar Hazarika, secretary of Biswanath district APCU, carried out the proceedings. A new committee was formed with SouravHazarika as president, Anjan Saikia as executive president, Tushar Hazarika as secretary, Rupjyoti Saikia as magazine secretary along with 21 executive members.
