Tezpur: The Journalists Federation of Assam (JAFA) Sonitpur district committee was formally formed on Saturday. A general meeting was held at the Tezpur Xahitya Xabha premises which were presided over by senior journalist Kushmakar Upadhya. The office-bearers of the new body are president Prasanta Mahanta, executive president Mrinal Sharma, vice-president Kushmakar Upadhya and secretary Hemanta Kumar Nath.
