TINSUKIA: The newly elected office bearers of Tinsukia Press Club (TPC) took over charge from the outgoing committee on Friday at newly renovated press club premises in the presence of all the members of Tinsukia Press Club. The DIPRO Tinsukia Mamoon Borkotoky was present as the chief guest who administered the oath of office to all elected members as laid down in club’s constitution. With Kamal Talukdar both as outgoing and newly elected president in the chair, the meeting was addressed by senior journalists like Amalya Khatoniar and Dr Rishi Das. Mamoon Borkotoky also spoke on the occasion and called upon the journalists to adhere to journalistic ethics and dignity. The newly elected secretary Chinmoy Sarma while seeking cooperation from all the members assured to keep the Tinsukia Press Club ethos in high esteem.
