TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia division of NF Railway has made arrangement for stranded passengers owing to the agitation in Bihar and breaches between Jamunamuk and Jugijan under Lamding division and Tangla and Harisinga under Rangia division after trains were cancelled, partially cancelled and diverted.
A press release issued by senior divisional commercial manager stated that besides running special trains, packaged food and drinking water bottles were distributed among the passengers stranded at Dibrugarh and New Tinsukia stations who arrived from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Necessary assistance was also provided to women passengers and children, stated the press release, adding that the Division also ensured refund to passengers without any hitch at stations, namely Dibrugarh, Dibrugarh Town, New Tinsukia, Tinsukia, Simulguri, Mariani, Jorhat, Furkating etc.
