TEZPUR: NIEPID organized a sensitisation-cum-awareness programme on ‘Importance of Early Intervention Services’ for ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers of Sonitpur at Darrang College, Tezpur on Wednesday.
Dr Gaya Prasad Agarwal, DDC, Sonitpur, Bijumoni Hazarika, DPO, IE, Sonitpur and Principal Darrang College attended as chief guest and guests of honour. The programme was initiated with a brief introduction about the dignitaries and the core objectives of the Early Intervention Services’ for PwDs. The morning session highlighted about sensitisation on Early Intervention Services in community settings by Dr Sravan Reddy, Cross Disability Early Intervention Services by Hrishikesh Deshpande, Management of PwIDs by Keertisudha and therapeutic intervention by Dr Yateendra Kumar. A total of 148 ASHA and Anganwadi Workers attended during the programme.
