Nijor Din observed by felicitating literary activists in Jamugurihat

As part of the initiative taken by Axam Xahitya Xabha, the Sipariya and Nagsankar branches of the literary body under Biswanath district also observed Nijor Din by felicitating literary activists of Sootea and Nagsankar recently.

JAMUGURIHAT: As part of the initiative taken by Axam Xahitya Xabha, the Sipariya and Nagsankar branches of the literary body under Biswanath district also observed Nijor Din by felicitating literary activists of Sootea and Nagsankar recently.

The organizers and office bearers of Axam Xahitya Xabha visited the houses of literary creators and genuine workers of Assamese language and literature and thanked them. The Nagsankar branch of Axam Xahitya Xabha, led by Baneswar Bora, president of the branch, along with Padmeswar Saikia and Sadananda Bora, visited the houses of Sahitya Akademi's Young Writers Award winner Anjan Baskota, Jyotimoni Saikia, Lochan Bora and Purna Kumar Sarma and presented a citation paper and felicitated them with a gamosa.

Similarly, the Sipariya branch of Axam Xahitya Xabha also felicitated Pradip Kumar Medhi, Moti Kumar Newar, Latumoni Hazarika, Kanu Hazarika and Hem Karna Chhetry in a meeting held at Jame Masjid campus, Koroioni; Sootea with Abedur Rahman in the chair. Jehrul Islam Prince, secretary, conducted the programme wherein a total of 34 life members of Axam Xahitya Xabha were felicitated.
