The constitution of the AASU was amended in the meeting. Therefore, a crucial decision on the age bar and educational qualification of the AASU’s leadership was taken. The meeting decided to implement the proposal of the 17th Duliajan Session of the AASU and the age bar for the leadership of the AASU will be below 40 years and not above 42 years.

However, it was decided that there would be no age bar for the chief advisor and the advisors and it was also decided that no educational qualifications will be compulsory in the leadership of AASU. The meeting also decided to abolish the sub-divisional committees of the AASU. There will be no new sessions of the AASU sub-divisional committees and the sessions of the existing district committees will be merged.
