North Lakhimpur regional body of AJYCP demands immediate resolution of various issues

LAKHIMPUR: The North Lakhimpur regional body of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) has demanded the immediate resolve of various problems of North Lakhimpur town.

In this context, the organization submitted a memorandum to the chairperson of North Lakhimpur Municipal Board (NLMB) demanding her immediate initiative for the same. Through the memorandum, countersigned by North Lakhimpur regional unit AJYCP president Manash Pratim Saikia, general secretary Bimala Prasad Das, the organization demanded to remove the waste matters deposited here and there of the town due to strike of the Safai karmis for a week, to manage lids upon the drains, seen uncovered at various places within the town, to protect and secure the Gandhi Park as the refreshment centre only for the children instead of 'leaving it to turn as a market place', to supply enough pure drinking water to the civic citizens as per demand, to manage street lights all over the town.

Through the same memorandum, the organization also demanded the NLMB to reconstruct the broken statue of Mahabir Chilarai, which was constructed by Jatiya Birbhumi Pratistha Samiti, and to make several non-functional aspiring schemes of the town functional.
