Northeast's first-ever Cow Hospital in Dibrugarh, Assam

The cow hospital, Surbhi Aarogyashala, is set up by a cow shelter, Shree Gopal Gaushala

Dibrugarh: The first-ever Cow Hospital of Northeast was inaugurated on November 22 in Dibrugarh, Assam. A cow shelter inaugurated the first of its kind hospital in Northeast India on the occasion of Gopasthami.

The cow shelter, Shree Gopal Gaushal set up the 'Gau' hospital, Surbhi Aarogyashala at a cost of Rs 17 lakh.

The manager of the cow shelter, Shree Gopal Gaushal, Nirmal Bediya said, "On the auspicious occasion of Gopashtami, we have inaugurated the first hospital for cows in the Northeast. The hospital will provide services in 30 km radius."

On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh government had the first meeting of the one-of-its-kind 'Gau Cabinet' on Sunday. The MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired the meeting through virtual mode.

'Gau' Cabinet is a cabinet set up by the BJP-led MP government to protect the cows and its progeny.
