NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University organized training on Financial Management System

DIBRUGARH: The NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University (DU) organized a one-day training programme for NSS Programme Officers on Public Financial Management System (PFMS). The training programme was organized at the Indira Miri Conference Hall of the varsity on April 22, with 52 Programme Officers of various NSS Units of Colleges affiliated to DU in attendance.

The inaugural programme was graced by Prof. Jiten Hazarika Registrar, DU, and Prof. Nirode Baruah, Dean, Student Affairs, DU. The training programme was carried out by Chinmoy Ghosh as the resource person. He deliberated on the importance and the features of PFMS through a PPT presentation. After that, a thorough demonstration of the system was given through the PFMS portal.

The valedictory function was held in the presence of Prof. Kalyan Bhuyan Director, IQAC, DU. A few participants shared their experience of attending the training programme and acknowledged that the programme was beneficial.

Earlier, the welcome address was given by Dr. Devid Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, DU, while the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Himadri Barman, Assistant Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, DU. The entire programme was held by adhering to all COVID-19 protocol.
