JORHAT: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam government has recently declared the NSS State Award for the year 2021-22. Under NSS programme officer category, Rituraj Boruah, Assistant Professor, Department of Extension Education, College of Agriculture, AAU, Jorhat received the selection for this coveted award for the first time. The award was conferred on the basis of assessment of the activities carried out under National Service Scheme during the period. Upasana Sarma, NSS volunteer of College of Horticulture and Farming System Research, Nalbari, AAU, Jorhat is also selected for the State award under NSS volunteer category. The awardees will be honoured by the Directorate in a State level.
