NSWS organizes skill development training programmes in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: The Nandini Social Welfare Society (NSWS), with support of NABARD, organized four skill development training programmes on January 19 and January 20 in different villages of the Tinsukia district to help the SHG members in their career growth.

These programmes were designed to equip participants with new skills and knowledge that will help them develop their careers. The training programmes were conducted in the areas of bakery at Panikhowa, food processing at Deamuli, weaving at Makum and cutting and tailoring with fashion designing at Sunpura, Sadiya. The NGO aims to provide a platform where individuals can gain access to quality training resources and become more competent in their respective fields.

Barun Biswas, DDM of NABARD Tinsukia, while inaugurating the programme, encouraged the trainers to actively participate in the programme and help promote its objectives of providing quality education and skills to the people in the area. He also highlighted how these programmes would be beneficial for both trainers and trainees as it would open up new opportunities for them by equipping them with knowledge and tools that could help them succeed in their respective fields.

Arup Kumar Chowdhury, secretary of NSWS, has expressed his gratitude to NABARD for giving them the opportunity to implement various programs in different districts of Assam and praised the organization for their commitment and dedication towards the development of the rural sector in India. He also highlighted how NABARD's support had enabled NSWS to launch initiatives such as Tribal Development Project, watershed development, micro-finance and other agricultural activities.
