Labanya Bhuyan Bora, a retired teacher and a resident of Udaypur, Sootea breathed her last due to cardiac arrest at around 10am on Saturday at her Udaypur residence. She was 72. Labanya Bhuyan Bora superannuated as headmistress from Gereki Government JBS in 2011. She was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of the greater Sootea area. She leaves behind her son, two daughters along with a host of relatives. Her demise was widely mourned.
