Prafulla Bhuyan, a social worker and a resident of Shantipur, Kusumtola under Jamuguri police station, breathed his last at his residence on October 12 due to kidney-related ailments. He was 81.
He was closely associated with Srimanta Sankardev Namdharma Samaj, Kusumtola Saat Gaon Development Committee, Kusumtola Anchalik HS School, among other organizations. Bhuyan was a retired employee of the agriculture department. His demise was widely mourned here. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, a daughter along with a host of relatives.
