Obituary: Retired IAS Trailokya Prasad Khaund

Trailokya Prasad Khaund, retired IAS, resident of NCR, breathed his last at Gurgaon in the early hours of June 20.

Trailokya Prasad Khaund, retired IAS, resident of NCR, breathed his last at Gurgaon in the early hours of June 20. Born in Jhanji, his initial career, started with All India Radio, Shillong. After this he entered his administrative journey in erstwhile NEFA, and continued to serve with distinction in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and two tenures with North Eastern Council. Post his retirement he continued to serve as the Principal Advisor to the Government of Mizoram and Director of NEEPCO a post he held till 2020. He was associated with a number organizations and was twice President of the Assam Association, Delhi. He leaves behind his wife, Dr Malaya Khaund, a Sahitya Akademy winning writer, a daughter and a son.
