Officials of Assam Administrative Reforms and Training visit Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: A team of higher officials of the department of Assam Administrative Reforms and Training led by Ruby Borah, Commissioner and Secretary to the government of the department concerned, visited Kokrajhar on Monday to access the land acquisition for establishment of Administrative Staff College in Kokrajhar.

Borah was accompanied by Zahid Chistie, Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Administrative Reforms & Training, along with Pranjit Wary, Secretary of BTC, Rahul Phukan, Circle Officer, Kokrajhar Revenue Circle and lot mandals.

The establishment of Administrative Staff College and Training is a part of the MoS of the BTR accord signed in 2020. Sources said that the officials from Assam visited the proposed site for the construction of Administrative Staff College and Training at Harinagiri, near the famous Baokhungri Hills of Chokrasilla Wildlife Sanctuary, about 8 km south-east of Kokrajhar town.

The higher officials also visited the Information Technology (IT) Park which will be inaugurated soon, Bodofa Cultural Complex, Library's Building , SAI Complex and Indigenous Tribal Film Studio in Kokrajhar for starting of training centre prior to establishment of Administrative Staff College in Kokrajhar. The officer also visited the Kokrajhar Planetarium and Solid and Liquid Resource Management (SLRM) system being operated by Kokrajhar Municipal Board (KMB).
