Hatsingimari: The Oikya Sena Asom submitted a memorandum to Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma seeking immediate help for the labours and workers of South Salmara who have been worst hit by COVID and the lockdown.
The lockdown had a huge negative impact financially on the labour class who had no earning for over 7 months. Now entry restrictions imposed by Meghalaya government is adding to their woes. People of South Salmara often travel to Meghalaya to earn a living. Now they have not been able to do so.
Oikya Sena president, Gafur Ahmed submitted the memorandum for CM Sangma to Meghalaya Power Minister James Sangma requesting the Chief Minister to consider the plight of the workers and allow them entry into Meghalaya. Also Watch: #CandidConversation With RJ Pahi, Sr Producer & Evening Jock, RED FM
