OIL commenced Vigilance Awareness Week at Duliajan Club Auditorium

DIBRUGARH: OIL has commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2023, which will run from October 30 to November 5 . The week began with the taking of the integrity pledge at Duliajan Club Auditorium on Monday, focusing on the theme ‘Say No to corruption; Commit to the nation’. Every year, this week-long campaign is observed for Oil Indians, their families, and stakeholders, as they rededicate themselves to the mission of inculcating honesty and integrity in every aspect of business and personal dealings.

The week-long programme of VAW 2023 was ceremoniously inaugurated today at the Duliajan Club auditorium, by Atindra Roychoudhury, Resident Chief Executive (RCE) of OIL, in the presence of other OIL officials. In his inaugural address, Atindra Roychoudhury, RCE, OIL urged everyone to uphold vigilance and remain well-informed about the procedures, manuals and compliances set by the Vigilance Department of OIL.

Highlighting the importance of being vigilant, Akhil Kumar Deka, General Manager (Vigilance), OIL said in his welcome address that the annual Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a reminder of the importance of continuing the fight against corruption, both at national and individual levels. Moreover, he underscored the pivotal role of the vigilance department, urging everyone to collectively strive for excellence in transforming OIL into an exemplar of vigilance.

As part of VAW 2023, an integrity pledge was taken by all Oil Indians. This was followed by a cycle rally flagged off by RCE, OIL, to create awareness among the public against corruption and promote honesty and integrity in every aspect of life.

OIL has also undertaken a public awareness campaign through the display of banners and hoardings with this year’s VAW theme and a QR code for facilitating the public to take the e-Integrity pledge at prominent places in OIL Township, Duliajan, and field installations of FHQ, Dibrugarh Airport, including streaming of Radio Jingle through All India Radio, Dibrugarh.
