SILCHAR: Hours after Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's statement on Friday that nobody involved in Bethukandi dyke breach incident would be spared, Silchar police arrested a person on Friday night. The person, identified as Kabul Khan, had allegedly filmed the damaging of the dyke at Bethukandi that caused massive flood in Silchar affecting almost entire town. Chief Minister during his visit on Friday went to Bethukandi. Speaking to the media, Sarma said, he had ordered CID investigation in the dyke breach incident. He further hinted that till now six persons had been identified who were involved in the damage of the dyke. Cachar SP Ramandeep Kaur confirmed the arrest of Kabul Khan and said, further investigation was going on.
