ONGC Assam Asset provides AC ambulance to Ligiripukhuri Civil Hospital

Sivasagar/Gaurisagar: Continuing its endeavour to ensure accessibility to quality healthcare to the people of its operational areas, ONGC Assam Asset provided an air-conditioned ambulance to Karmashree Hiteswar Saikia Subdivisional Civil Hospital, Ligiripukhuri on February 21.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Sanjeev Kakran, Executive Director and Asset Manager, ONGC, Assam Asset, reiterated ONGC’s commitment as a partner in the progress of the State and said that the PSU would continue to work towards the overall growth and development of the region, besides shouldering its national responsibility to make the country energy secured.

Raising his concern over the decline in production from the Asset, the Executive Director said that though Assam Asset was a loss-making Asset of ONGC as of now, the company had been continuously spending approximately Rs 20-Rs 25 crore every year in various CSR projects at the Asset level apart from other big projects sanctioned from ONGC, Delhi.

Samprity Goswami, ADC, I/c Nazira subdivision, lauded ONGC, Assam Asset for its continuous support towards the development of the region. Dr Nirmal Chutia, Superintendent of Civil Hospital, Ligiripukhuri profusely thanked ONGC Assam for the initiative to make healthcare accessible.

A prefabricated toilet separate for ladies and gents was provided to the hospital on the occasion. Earlier, solar lights were also installed by ONGC in the hospital. The company is also providing safe drinking water project to the hospital.
