Online seminar series on NEP 2020, NRF, self-reliant India organized in Sivasagar

The seminar aimed to highlight the significance of these topics and educate learners, including advanced and slow learners.

SIVASAGAR: The Department of Commerce, Gargaon College, in collaboration with IQAC of the college conducted a three day online seminar series from April 6 to April 8 on NEP 2020 and NRF, Entrepreneurship and Self-reliant India, and IPR basics and advanced. The seminar aimed to highlight the significance of these topics and educate learners, including advanced and slow learners.

Dr Pranjal Kr Phukan, Professor of Practice at Woxsen University, Hyderabad, led the seminar as the resource person. Day one of the online seminar focussed on the topic “ NEP 2020 and NRF: A Significant step”. Dr. Meghali Bora, Associate Professor and HOD, Department of Commerce, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of the seminar. Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, Principal of Gargaon College, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the significance of NEP 2020 and National Research Foundation (NRF) in various shades. Dr Mahanta highlighted the need for a paradigm shift in the Indian education system to align with the global standards. He also emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary approach and vocational training which the NEP 2020 aims to address. He further stated that the NRF must provide a platform for young researchers to showcase their talents and enable them to contribute significantly to the nation’s research output. Dr Pranjal Kr Phukan spoke about the importance of NEP 2020 and NRF. Entrepreneurship and Self Reliant India was the topic for the second day of the seminar.
