Opium seized; 2 held by Rangia Police

RANGIA: Rangia Police headed by Bhaskar Malla Patowary, OC, and TSI Samarjyoti Kalita, intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB65BC 5967 at NH-27 near Borolia Bridge Rangia. During search operation, police recovered 5.16 kg of suspected opium worth lakhs of rupees concealed in the engine side cabin of the truck. According to police, the truck was loaded with eggs and was coming from Haryana to Karimganj. Police apprehended two persons, namely Sukh Dev of Punjab and Happy Singh of Haryana.
