Orang Police seizes fake currency notes in Udalguri district

Acting on a tip off, Orang Police apprehended two persons and seized fake currency notes at NH-15 in Orang of Udalguri district

TANGLA: Acting on a tip off, Orang Police apprehended two persons and seized fake currency notes at NH-15 in Orang of Udalguri district on Monday. According to reports, police intercepted a Maruti Alto (AS01AN2551) and seized the Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth face value of Rs.3,30,000. The apprehended persons have been identified as Saidul Islam (36) and Asar Ali (25), both residents of Nonkegaon village under Orang PS of Udalguri district. Orang Police also seized various incriminating materials from the possession of the persons.

Meanwhile Orang Police have registered a case vide Orang PS case no.99/22 under 120B/420/406/34 of IPC and produced the accused in court on Tuesday which forwarded them to judicial custody. Pertinently, police sources claimed that the duo have duped many citizens of their money on the pretext of doubling it.
