Order on consumption, sale of liquor under Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: With a view to check illegal selling, buying, consumption of liquor, alcohol etc in hotels, restaurants, dhabas, marriage halls, guest houses etc. and without having valid license from Excise Department under Tinsukia district, the Additional District Magistrate Tinsukia by an order directed all the proprietors, owners, managers of hotels, restaurants, dhabas, marriage halls, guest houses etc. to exhibit and display a notice board mentioning 'Consumption of alcohol/ liquor is not allowed' at the reception counter.

This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further order or till modified or set-aside by any competent authority throughout the district of Tinsukia.
