KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland Janajati Suraksha Manch, All Bodoland Territory's Tribal Organizations National Co-ordination Committee, All Bodo People's Civil Society, All Assam Mongoloid Origin Tribal Confederation, All India Mongoloid Origin Indigenous Tribal peoples' Confederation called for a 12-hour 'Kokrajhar district' bandh on each day on 12, 13 and 14th October in protest against the malafide visit of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma to Kokrajhar.

The statement stated that the present State government of Assam has made an abortive and malicious attempt to scrape the BTAD and BTC through the implementation of the so called new Bodo Accord signed on the concept of 'BTR', a misnomer and un-workable new political arrangement in a haste with malafied intention to guillotine and sabotage the 50-year-old justified and legitimate demand of the indigenous Bodo-Tribal peoples for a separate State of Bodoland as their promised home land.
