Organizations, Institutions of Lakhimpur donated Funds to Assam Arogya Nidhi to fight COVID-19

LAKHIMPUR: Various organizations, institutions and individuals of Lakhimpur district are contributing to the Assam Arogya Nidhi in order to meet expenditure incurred to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday, Maidamia Jeuti Club, a 25-year old social, cultural and spot institution located at Maidamia near North Lakhimpur town, donated a sum of Rs. 21,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi through the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur. Out of the total sum, Rs. 11,000 was extended from the own fund of Jeuti Club while the remaining Rs. 10,000 was extended by its adviser-cum-educationist Hamidur Rahman and his wife Salema Begum. The president and secretary and the adviser handed over the cheque to Lakhimpur ADC Bipul Kumar Das at his office.

GAURISAGAR: Hafaluting Bornaamghar and Kala Krishti Kendra, one of the premier cultural and religious organizations in Sivasagar, on Monday donated Rs 20,000 to the Assam Arogya Nidhi on Monday. The cheque was handed over to Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Lakhinondon Gogoi by Dilip Chandra Nath and Palash Phukan, treasurer and assistant secretary respectively of Hafaluting Bornaamghar and Kala Krishti Kendra.

MORIGAON: The Charipunia Beel Unnayan Samiti led by DFDO, Morigaon donated a cheque of Rs 20,000 to the Assam Arogya Nidhi. A team of four persons of the committee met ADC ST Rahman and handed over the cheque to him in the DC’s office.
