Orientation programme for Agniveer aspirants held in Jamugurihat

Nearly 50 aspirants participated in the inaugural session today. Amit Baskota, Mintu Mishra and Mahesh Khatiora will impart classes for the aspirants.

JAMUGURIHAT: A 10-day orientation programme for Agniveer aspirants organized by the NCC troupe of Dakhin Nagsankar High School was inaugurated by Shyamal Jyoti Saikia, officer-in-charge of Sootea police station, on Wednesday.

The inaugural session began with illumination of ceremonial lamp followed by a felicitation programme. Ballav Chapagain, headmaster of the school, gave the welcome address. Inaugurating the orientation programme, Shyamal Jyoti Saikia briefly presented a compact note on the benefits the Agnipath scheme undertaken by the Central Government for recruitment in defence sector and the process of recruitment too. He praised the NCC troupe for the timely initiative and made a humble appeal to the aspirants to come forward to take advantage of the programme.

Saikia further appealed to the aspirants to spare at least three hours per day for regular studies. Nearly 50 aspirants participated in the inaugural session today. Amit Baskota, Mintu Mishra and Mahesh Khatiora will impart classes for the aspirants. The orientation programme will conclude on April 20.
