Orientation programme held for BTC elected representatives in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: As per the proposal of the Chief Executive Member of the BTC, Pramod Boro given during the special budget session held on January 28, the proposed orientation programme for the elected members of council legislative assembly through veteran parliamentarians over making policy, assembly proceedings and business will be held on February 12 at the auditorium hall of the BTC Legislative Assembly.

In a letter issued by the Secretary, BTC Legislative Assembly, Bhawani Prasad Sharma, it was stated that the orientation programme for all elected representatives would be held on February 12 from 10 am to 4 pm at the auditorium hall of the assembly building. In the last special session of BTR Legislative Assembly, CEM Pramod Boro said that orientation programme for elected representatives of the council through veteran parliamentarians was important as most of the members were new. "The elected representatives must be aware of the parliamentary proceedings, business of the session and adoption of policy," he said, adding that the development of the region would depend on the comprehensive policy adopted in the assembly session and thus all representatives should get trained.
