LAKHIMPUR: North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) organized two orientation sessions on National Education Policy - 2020 (NEP- 2020) on Tuesday at Ranghar, the college auditorium. The theme of the first session was NEP - 2020: Orientation, Overcoming Challenges and Effective Implementation which was organized targeting the school teachers. “NEP - 2020 and Resurgence in Teacher Education - A Need Based Approach” was the theme of the second session wherein teachers from different educational institutions under Majuli, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur district participated and interacted with the Resourceful Speaker on NEP -2020. The programme was organized by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Council (RC), North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) in collaboration with Council for Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF) - Assam Chapter, Lakhimpur District.
Professor Nilima Bhagabati, International Secretary General CTEF & Chairman, CTEF, Assam and Chairman, ERC, NCTE, New Delhi participated in the both events as resourceful speaker. Dr. Bhagabati made elaborated presentation NEP-2020 along with the historical background of education policies of the nation. Notably, the Government of Assam is going to implement the NEP - 2020 from the upcoming academic session, that is 2023-24.
