Over 11 GSP Leaders Joined UPPL: BTC Chief Pramod Boro

As many as 11 leaders from Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) joined United Peopole’s Party Liberal (UPPL) in a joining ceremony held at UPPL’s office at Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: In a joining ceremony held at United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) office at Mwiderkhoro area in Kokrajhar on Wednesday, as many as 11 leaders of Gana Suraksha Party (GSP) joined United People's Party Liberal (UPPL).

Bodoland Territorial Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro who is also the president of UPPL, attended the joining programme.

Speaking to the media, Pramod Boro said that as many as total 11 GSP candidate and other leaders who have contested in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) election 2020 and managed to get 10,000-11,000 votes have joined UPPL today.

Boro said, "They contested election wanting a change in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), wanted to free the region from fear and corruption. They realized that their fight is not complete yet thus they decided to join UPPL and our party welcomed them."

Boro further said, "We want no discrimination among the communities in the region in future so that we could form a beautiful society. Our party is working hard so that every community in the region can get equal status, equal, rights, land rights. Many from opposition parties have been joining our party and we are welcoming all to the party. We all will work together for the development of the region and build a beautiful region."

When Boro was asked about the preparation of the party for the upcoming Assam Assembly election, he said that the party does not need much preparation as they already prepared. Boro is also confident of good results in future.

GSP leaders -Dhajendra Rabha (Soraibil), Pankaj Das (Jomduar), Ranendra Koch (Kochugaon), Thaneswar Rabha (Baokhunguri), Sajoy Saronia (Salakati), Hafizur Rahman (Srirampur), Mafidul Ahmed (Guma), Arun Boro (Khoirabari), Daniel Mardi (Nagrijuli) and Robin Murmu (Panchnoi Serfang) have joined UPPL today in the joining programme.

Pramod Boro took charge as head of the BTC in December 2020
