Over hundred members from BJP, AGP join Congress in Lakhimpur

In view of upcoming assembly election, the major political parties of the State have continued their activities in Lakhimpur district in order to strengthen their organizational base.

LAKHIMPUR: In view of upcoming assembly election, the major political parties of the State have continued their activities in Lakhimpur district in order to strengthen their organizational base. The Lakhimpur District Congress Committee (LDCC), led by president Dr. Joy Prakash Das, has also continued its organizational activities in No. 111 Lakhimpur Legislative Assembly Constituency. On Sunday, LDCC organized a party meeting at Pub Telahi, an outreach area under the constituency. Attending the programme, Dr. Joy Prakash Das gave words to the people that he would continue his fight to resolve the multifaceted problems of the area. LDCC general secretary informed that over one hundred members from the BharatiyaJanata Party and the AsomGanaParishad joined the Congress in the same event expressing their commitment to the ideology of the party.
