Painting competition held on Late Ramesh Chandra Sarma’s 88th birthday

GUWAHATI: A renowned teacher and retired Assistant Headmaster of Gauhati University Model High School, Late Ramesh Chandra Sarma’s 88th birthday was celebrated recently. On this special occasion, a cultural, scientific and technological training centre in Assam, Surojit Academy, in their silver jubilee, organized the ‘Late Ramesh Chandra Sharma Memorial National Level Painting Competition, 2023’.

The competition was divided into two categories, “A” category (for classes I to IV) and “B” category (for classes V to VIII). The topic of Section “A” was “Save the Environment ‘’ and Section “B” was “Present day effect of Climate Change”.

More than 1,000 contestants participated in the online drawing competition in both categories. In “A” category, the first prize went to Biki Raj Kashyap (Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School, Guwahati, Assam), the second prize went to Arju Ahmed (Delhi Public School, Dhaligaon, Assam) and the third prize went to Trisa Devi (Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Guwahati, Assam) and in the “B” category, first prize went to Gitartha Protim Das (Delhi Public School, Guwahati, Assam), the second prize went to Bastab Das (Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, Guwahati, Assam) and the third prize went to Gurseerat (Ajit Karam Singh International Public School, Chandigarh-45), stated a press release.
