KOKRAJHAR: The citizens of Kokrajhar have expressed unhappiness over the declaration of containment zones in the town, saying that the district administration had not declared the hot spot areas as containment zones despite many positive cases being detected.

The district administration earlier declared Santinagar, Subhash Pally and Gaurnagar as containment zones after detection of many positive cases. As the number of positive cases is increasing day by day, the district administration has declared the areas of northern part of Railway station, Chief Conservator of Forest office area, Don Bosco area, Bhattarmari, and Bwirathi Nwgwr as containment zones. On the other hand, three more persons tested positive in BTC Secretariat on Wednesday and security guard of BTC Administrator and Principal Secretary has also tested positive. Most of the employees have expressed fear of spread of the deadly virus.
