TANGLA: United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) CWC member Kamal Chowdhury made a scathing attack on Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarnia for his alleged adverse comments in media regarding the party.

Addressing a press meet at UPPL party office in Tangla town of Udalguri district on Monday, he exuded confidence that his party would get absolute majority in the BTC council polls. He further said that the opposition forces, including Sarania, were insecure of losing maximum seats. He appealed to Sarania to refrain from playing non-Bodo politics.

He further said, "The people of the region gave the Mohilary-led government opportunities to learn the ways of better governance but the present time demands a change. At present, people are seeking change and UPPL wants an easy-going decentralized system where every person in society can be a stakeholder in growth by giving suggestions on governance."
