Photo of woman from Pathsala posing as 'Swastika' goes viral on social media

PATHSALA: A 29-year-old woman from Pathsala posed as 'Swastika' during this Diwali celebration. The photo went viral on social media. 'Swastika' is a symbol of prosperity. The word is derived from the Sanskrit svastika, which means "conducive to well-being."

The woman has been identified as Lipka Talukdar of Pathsala in Bajali district, currently staying in Bangalore and was a yoga teacher at a rehabilitation centre in Shantikunj Rehabilitation Centre, Pathsala. Being a yoga professional, she tried a pose resembling 'Swastika'.

Her performance has been lauded by common people. Lipika motivates people for maintaining good physical as well as mental health. She had completed master degree in yogic science and naturopathy. She academically holds a Master of Arts degree in Yogic Science & Naturopathy from Mahapurusha Srimanta Shankardev Vishwavidyalaya, Guwahati. She has also bagged the titles of 'Yoga Samgragi' in All Assam Sports Championship 2019, 'Best of the Best' in Zubin Classic Yoga Championship 2019 and a participant of National Yoga Championship 2019. Besides she has been volunteering free yoga camps and conducting yoga classes in Pathsala and neighbourhood as a voluntary services on behalf of Brain & Figure group since 2017.
