Picnic mishap! Two died, three injured in Bogamati, Assam

BOKO: Two people died and three others were seriously injured at the Bogamati picnic spot, around 100 km from Guwahati, in the Tamulpur district on Sunday night.

Sanjib Rabha (45), the owner of the vehicle, died on the spot. Pawan Rabha (45) and three others were seriously injured after the Maruti Brezza (AS 01 FL 9345) lost control and fell into the canal of the Shuklai irrigation project in Naokata. According to the local people of the Bogamati area, they came to Bogamati for a picnic, and after the sunset, they prepared to return to their home. After that, the vehicle crashed near the picnic spot. Meanwhile, police personnel from Goreswar Police Station and Suwagpur Police Outpost reached the incident site and recovered the vehicle. The victims were admitted to the 30-bed Yogen Basumatary Memorial Hospital in Shuklai with the help of the local public and police. However, the doctor declared Sanjib Rabha and Pawan Rabha dead. Both were from Kulshi village under the Palashbari LAC in the Kamrup district. Villagers from Kulshi were heartbroken after they learned about the incident, and there was a mournful atmosphere in the area. There is also a shadow of mourning in the Bogamati area.

According to the villagers of the Kulshi village, all of them are good friends, and along with them, other friends and relatives also went with other vehicles to the Bogati for the picnic party. Police sent the bodies of Sanjib and Pawan to the Dr. Robi Ram Boro Civil Hospital in Mushalpur for a postmortem.
