GUWAHATI: Controversial activist Satya Ranjan Bora urged the people to give honour to the Sanatan Hindu culture. In a Facebook life, Bora said that the Sanatan Hindu culture is the father of almost all modern scientific inventions.

"Today, we have heard that the US scientists successfully have transplanted pig's kidney into the human body. But such organ transplantation on Lord Ganesha was done long ago," he added. He also said that renowned Assam heart surgeon Dr Dhaniram Baruah successfully transplanted a pig's heart to a human being in 1991.

Criticising the people who once opposed Dr Baruah, he said, " We did not give due respect to Dr Dhaniram Baruah. Likewise, one day, Saint Sankardeva was disrespected. Dr Bhupen Hazarika was disrespected." He further said that what the USA and UK did today is just copy paste work.

"In Hindu sacred books, we have found mention about many modern-day scientific inventions. In the Mahabharata, Sanjay did a live telecast before Dhritarashtra. Modern-day scientists just invented the live telecast. So, we have to respect our great Sanatan culture. Before Shakespeare, our Sankardeva guru penned the Chinha Yatra Ankiya naat. But due to our nature, Sankardeva could not receive recognition in the world arena unlike Shakespeare," he added.

Bora also said that the Assamese Hindu people let the followers of some other religions propagate their faith in Assam. Claiming that he only says the truth, so he has to suffer.
